AML Screening Checks types

USER GUIDE

AML MXRICH is designed in full alignment with the Guide on Estate Agents (Prevention of Money Laundering, Proliferation Financing and Terrorism Financing) Regulations 2021.

All five screening checks are seamlessly integrated into Form B and Form U5 across every assessment pathway. Our system design directly mirrors the official form structure in the Guide, allowing users to simply click a button to run all required checks.

The system performs five key screening checks:

  1. PEP and RCAs - Section 1 Question 1
    We use a hybrid approach combining intelligent web search and AI analysis to accurately identify Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and their Relatives and Close Associates (RCAs). This method provides higher reliability compared to many traditional database API providers, especially for RCAs. Important Note: There is no 100% guarantee for RCAs. RCAs consist of two portions — relatives and close associates. Close relatives (such as spouse and children) have a higher detection rate. However, identifying close associates can be more challenging. Users are encouraged to ask smart, targeted questions about the individual’s relationship with the PEP.
  2. FATF Grey List - Section 1 Question 3
    We regularly monitor and update the FATF Grey List of jurisdictions under increased monitoring directly from the official FATF website.
  3. TSOFA (MAS) - Section 1 Question 4
    We utilise the OpenSanctions API, widely regarded as one of the most credible and reliable sources for sanctions and watchlist data, to retrieve the latest list of individuals under the Terrorism Suppression of Financing Act (MAS).
  4. UN Sanctions - Section 1 Question 5
    We utilise the OpenSanctions API, widely regarded as one of the most credible and reliable sources for sanctions and watchlist data, to retrieve the latest list of individuals under United Nations Sanctions.
  5. Negative News - Section 1 Question 2 (or Section 2 Question 1)
    We employ a hybrid backend web search and AI-powered analysis to detect relevant adverse media, including criminal offences, bankruptcy, and other negative information — even when names and gender are similar. We provide direct URL evidence for all negative news findings.
